A 35-year-old Japan Medical Association worker was arrested Thursday on suspicion of raping and robbing a woman, police said.
Arrested was Katsuyuki Tanaka. He has denied the allegations against him.
Investigators accuse Tanaka of raping the victim, a university student, at her home in the Tokyo city of Hino at about 12:20 a.m. on April 1, and stealing a purse from her containing 1,500 yen.
