Lake Yamanaka, Yamanashi Prefecture
Photo taken by Chris Young at 7am in the morning near Lake Yamanakako (富士五湖, fujigoko) , which is on of the famous Fuji five lakes at the base of Mount Fuji in Yamanashi prefecture. They are called the Five Lakes because they were formed from previous eruptions of Mount Fuji.

The origin of Yasukuni Shrine was Shokonsha established at Kudan in Tokyo in the second year of the Meiji era (1869) by the will of the Emperor Meiji. In 1879, it was renamed Yasukuni Shrine. It has been the center of alot of attention, particularly with the regular visits from the former Prime Minister.

Hiraizumi is located in Niishiwai, Iwate prefecture. It used to be the home of the Hiraizumi Fujiwaras for about 100 years in the late Heian period and for most of the following Kamakura period.

Genbikei Gorge is located in Genbi-cho, Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture.
The flow of the Iwai river, which flows out of Mt. Kurikoma, has created a lot of abysses and pit holes.
The cliffs are composed of dasite tuff, from the eruption of Mt. Sugawa, are constantly eroded by the torrent of water.
There is a hut across in the gorge area where you can taste “kakko-dango” (rice dumpling), which is sent over from the opposite side of the bank in a basket hung on cables.

The Tokyo Dome is an air supported dome, with air constantly being blown in the stadium with a pressure fan. This means the air pressure inside is at least 0.3% higher than it is outside, therefore holding up the covering. Tokyo Dome seats approximately 55,000 people.
