DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -- Honda Motor Co. plans to stop making motorcycles in the United States next year and transfer the work to Japan, pulling the plug on its first U.S. plant.
The 330,000-square-foot (30,000 square meter) Marysville, Ohio, plant, built in 1979, turns out large Gold Wing touring and VTX cruiser motorcycles. The work will be shifted to a plant in Japan that can produce bikes more efficiently.

TOKYO (AP) -- Entertainment giant Walt Disney Co. will team up with several Japanese companies to produce animation for television in Japan, a leading market, a Disney official said Thursday.
Disney will work with Toei Animation Co., Madhouse Co. and Jinni's Animation Studios, said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity to comply with company rules.
The move was aimed at localizing contents of Disney products for a wider audience, she said.

Shahar Sakamoto, 37, the operator of a Russian pub from Arakawa-ku, Tokyo, was arrested for about 80 counts of violating forgery laws by allegedly brokering marriages between Japanese men and Russian women so the foreigners could get visas.
